Andrew Bernd (Drew)

Andrew (Drew) Bernd is an experienced physical education teacher and coach, currently serving at Mountain Brook Schools since July 2020, where responsibilities include being the JV Head Basketball Coach and Varsity Assistant, as well as the Varsity Girls Golf Coach. Prior to this role, Drew worked at Mountain Brook Junior High School from August 2017 to June 2022 as a Special Education Aide and coach, covering various sports, including football and basketball. Drew's coaching experience extends back to East Mississippi Community College as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and to the Canaries Basketball Academy. A strong foundation in basketball was developed during Drew's tenure at Mississippi State University, where multiple roles included Graduate Assistant Men's Basketball and involvement in team management, scouting, and coordinated camps. Drew holds a Master's degree in Sports Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Teaching and Coaching from Mississippi State University.
