Jonathan Fu

Jonathan Fu has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Jonathan is currently working as the Assistant Director of Adult Education at Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sequoia Adult School from 2015 to 2022, where they held various roles including Director, Assistant Director, and ESL Coordinator. Jonathan also worked as a Digital Content Writer for Pearson in 2016 and as an ESL Faculty (Adjunct) at San Jose/Evergreen Community College District from 2014 to 2015. Jonathan was an ESL Instructor/Coordinator at San Jose State University in 2014 and an ESL Faculty (Adjunct) at Foothill-De Anza Community College District from 2014 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Jonathan served as the ESL Program Director at Silicon Valley University from 2013 to 2014, an ESL Instructor at Teachers College, Community English Program in 2012, an EFL Instructor at Berlitz Japan from 2008 to 2011, and an EFL Instructor at Nissan Motor Corporation from 2010 to 2011.

Jonathan Fu has a diverse educational background with a focus on teaching and administration. Jonathan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005. In 2011, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Columbia University.

From 2016 to 2018, Jonathan completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree at Notre Dame de Namur University, specializing in School Administration with an Administrative Services Credential. During this time, they also obtained a Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Clear Credential from the University of San Diego Online.

In 2018, Jonathan pursued further education at the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education, where they obtained a Clear Administrative Services Credential. Jonathan later completed additional coursework in Spanish and Accounting at Cañada College in the years 2019 and 2020.

To complement their academic qualifications, Jonathan has obtained various certifications. These include the California Administrative Services Clear Credential, California Adult Education Teaching Clear Credential for Elementary and Secondary Basic Skills, ESL, Fine Arts, and Social Sciences, and the California Career Technical Education Teaching Credential in Business and Finance, Education, Child Development, and Family Services, and Marketing Sales, and Service. Jonathan has also earned certifications from Google as a Google Certified Educator and a Google Cloud Certified in G Suite. Additionally, Jonathan is a Pearson VUE Certified Test Administrator.
