Nate Bowen is an experienced educator with a career spanning over two decades, currently serving as a Social Science Teacher for the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District since July 2016. In addition, Nate has taught at Peninsula Bridge since 2013 and previously held teaching positions at Apollo High School from August 2006 to June 2016. Nate holds a Master's degree in History from California State University - East Bay, earned between 2003 and 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of California, Davis, completed in 1999.

Serving the communities of Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills, the MVLA district is comprised of two comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school, an adult education center, the Freestyle Academy for Arts & Technology, and Middle College.
