Pius Coxwell Achanga

Pius Coxwell Achanga, PhD, is an accomplished academic and educational administrator currently serving as Vice Chancellor at Mountains of the Moon University since January 2023 and as an Adjunct Professor at Ghandi Institute of Technology and Management since October 2019. With extensive experience at the National Council for Higher Education from January 2011 to December 2022, Pius held various leadership roles, including Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Principal Higher Education Officer, Senior Higher Education Officer, and Higher Education Officer. Pius also chaired a Task-Force to transition Mountains of the Moon University to public status from January 2019 to June 2022 and was a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Manufacturing Management and a Master of Science in Management and Information Systems from Cranfield University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Information Technology from the University of Hull and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University.
