Charles Metzger's work experience includes holding the position of Associate Dean of Clinical Education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at MountainView Regional Medical Center, where they served as Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Department of Surgery from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, they had various roles at MountainView, including Program Director of the Orthopedic Residency Training Program, Associate Program Director of the Orthopedic Residency Training Program, and Orthopedic Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, and Hand Surgeon. Charles specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatment of upper extremity conditions.

Charles Metzger received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch from 1988 to 1992. In 2011, they obtained the certification of Fellow of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
