Damien Browne

RTL engineer at Movandi

Damien Browne has worked in the technology industry since 2003. Damien began their career as a Work Experience Student at BlueScope, where they developed software for use in diagnostics of metal fabrication lines and medical records. In 2005, they joined Monash University as a Laboratory Demonstrator and Sessional Lecturer, teaching courses in Advanced Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing Architecture. In 2011, they were promoted to Digital FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer, where they were involved in multiple research projects and developed a custom ASIC for use as a general purpose research tool. In 2015, they joined Blackmagic Design as a Hardware Engineer. Two years later, they moved to AMD as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. In 2020, they joined Movandi as a RTL Engineer.

Damien Browne attended Monash University from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering. Damien then returned to Monash University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Digital Signal Processing and Robotics.
