Gilles R.n.g. Colard

Gilles R.N.G. Colard is a seasoned geotechnical professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades in diverse geotechnical projects. Currently serving as a Senior Geotechnical Consultant at Royal HaskoningDHV since April 2018, Gilles has been actively involved in significant projects, including the geotechnical management of the levee project at Vlietpark in The Hague, railway infrastructure extensions around Groningen, and the foundation challenges for the cableway in Scheveningen. Gilles also has a robust background as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Movares since September 1998, where project involvement includes upgrades to railways around Utrecht and assessments for high tension line foundations. Previous roles include working as a Geoadviseur at Fugro and serving as a Geologist and Geotechnical Engineer at SNCF's Engineering Headquarters in Paris, where contributions were made to the TGV Rhin-Rhône project. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Geology and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Bordeaux II and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Franche-Comté.
