Chiyomi Mckibbin

Chiyomi (pronounced “chee-YO-mee”) brings to this position a background in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives professionally and in her community. Previously, she has participated on numerous DEI committees that helped to look at policy, structure, and professional development in the workplace. She currently co-leads her local area Anti-Racism Coalition Mural Committee to elevate local BIPOC artists and bring art into her community.

Chiyomi is a practicing artist and has worked in nonprofits, the arts, and education throughout her career. She uses her creativity to foster an environment of curiosity, listening, collaborating, and continuous learning, along with her passion for amplifying voices of those who have been historically left out, and those who are advancing social, economic, racial, gender, and environmental just
