Marko Hantula has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Marko started their career at Valmet in 1997 and worked in service management, leading spare part purchasing teams, and developing the European Spare Part Logistics Center network. Marko then joined STX FRANCE as a Purchasing Manager, where they were responsible for the global category of electric cables and led a team of suppliers.

After that, Hantula returned to Valmet as the Head of Services in Indonesia, overseeing the services business and driving growth in the country. Marko also worked as a Senior Advisor, Independent Consultant providing business consultation services before joining Sammet Dampers Oy. At Sammet Dampers Oy, they served as the Head of Services and Operation Director, where they set up a new marine dampers assembly factory operation in Shanghai and implemented successful production processes.

Hantula then joined Componenta as the Business Unit Manager, leading the Jyväskylä machining unit, providing machining services to the machinery and vehicle manufacturing industry with full profit and loss responsibility. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Service at Moventas and previously served as the Service Operations Manager. In their role at Moventas, they have been involved in service management, global product management, and the creation and commercialization of service platform offerings.

Throughout their career, Hantula has demonstrated expertise in service management, strategy development, operations, project management, and team leadership.

Marko Hantula completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Machine Engineering from Vaasa Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1992. Marko then pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tampere University of Technology from 1993 to 1999. Later, they obtained an Executive MBA (EMBA) in Business Administration and Management, specializing in General Management and Strategy, from the University of Jyväskylä, which they completed from 2012 to 2016.
