Liz Roper

Liz Roper has over 8 years of work experience. Liz started their career in 2013 as a Staff Auditor and Senior Auditor at Deloitte. In 2016, they moved to Berkeley Research Group LLC as a Consultant, Forensic Accounting. That same year, they joined Raise as a Senior Accountant, where they managed the general ledger, supervised staff accountants, and reconciled transactional data. In 2020, Liz joined Highway Benefits as a Junior Software Engineer/Intern, where they built a serverless application from the ground-up using React and AWS services such as Lambdas, Cognito, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. Most recently, Liz joined MoveSpring in 2021 as a Developer, and is currently a Developer Apprentice.

Liz Roper completed a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2008 and 2012, where they were also part of the Environmental Fellows Program. Liz then went on to obtain a Master of Accounting Science from the same institution between 2012 and 2013, with a focus on Accountancy and Information Technology. In 2015, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In 2019, Liz Roper completed a Programming with Python course from Codecademy and in 2020, they obtained a Complete Python Bootcamp: Go from zero to hero in Python 3 certification from Udemy. Finally, Liz Roper completed a Software Engineering Immersive Certificate from General Assembly in 2020.
