Derk Norde

Co-Founder & Chief Impact Officer at MovingWorlds

Derk Norde is a social entrepreneur who has dedicated their career to helping others. Derk is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Impact Officer at MovingWorlds, an organization that helps people use their skills to make a difference in the world. Prior to this, Derk was the Country Director for Colombia at Access Latin America, a position they held for two years. Derk has also served as the Latin America Director for BiD Network Foundation and as a Environmental Research Assistant for ‘D66’. In addition to their work with MovingWorlds, Derk is also the Founder/Director of Fair Ventures, an organization that provides funding and support to social entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Derk Norde has a Master in Environmental Management from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and a MSc in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Amsterdam. Derk also has a Diploma in VWO from the Wagenings Lyceum.

Derk Norde reports to Mark Horoszowski, Co-Founder & CEO. Derk Norde works with Mariusz Kukawski - Director of Engineering, Cole Hoover - Director of MovingWorlds Institute.
