Mara Cortona

Mara Cortona is a distinguished consultant specializing in technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on global social impact in developing economies, currently serving as a Global Fellow at MovingWorlds since June 2020. Previously, Mara held the position of Executive Director at the Astropolitics Institute, where the focus was on research and education regarding the political and economic aspects of space activity. Experience also includes roles in business development at Momentus, operations management at Scythe Robotics, and founding Noönaut, a think tank at the intersection of space research and human interest. In education, Mara served as the Director and Lead Primary Teacher at Little Lyceum Montessori School, overseeing administrative and curriculum-related responsibilities. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a recent degree from Stanford University School of Engineering.
