Grant Van Cleve

Grant Van Cleve has over 15 years of experience in venture capital, angel investing, and financial technology. Grant began their career in 2006 as the Managing Director & Partner of VCInvest, a global early-stage venture capital investor and business incubator/accelerator. In 2014, they joined Tech Coast Angels as the President of the Orange County Chapter, eventually becoming Chairman then Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Governors in 2019. In 2015, they joined the Wharton Alumni Angels as a Private Investor, and also became a Board Director of Perfectna, Inc. and Jetbuilt. In 2016, they joined MovoCash, Inc. as a Board Director. In 2020, they became Managing Partner of Hangar 75 and Chairman of Plybot. In 2021, they co-founded Holberton School Albania and became its Chairman. Additionally, Grant Van Cleve was an Expert-in-Residence (EiR) at the UC Irvine Institute for Innovation from 2015-2020.

Grant Van Cleve completed their high school education at Los Alamitos High School from 1983 to 1987. Grant then attended the University of Pennsylvania from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a BS in Business/Managerial Economics. During this time, they also attended The Wharton School from 1988 to 1991 to study Real Estate Finance. In 1990, they completed a Semester at Sea program at the University of Virginia. From 1996 to 2001, they attended Fuller Theological Seminary and earned an MA in Intercultural Studies. In 2013, they obtained certifications in Conceptual Selling and Strategic Selling from Miller Heiman.
