Hannah Waye has over four years of experience in communications, social media, and event planning. In 2021, they began working as a Social Media Marketing Manager for Moz and STAT Search Analytics, managing the social media team, content, campaigns, strategy, and analytics. Prior to this role, they worked as a Digital Communication Strategist for their own company, Hannah Waye Communications, from 2019-2021. In 2020, they were a Social Media Coordinator for Canadian Geographic, managing daily activity, strategy, and community management on social channels for four brands with a collective following of 250,000 people. In 2019, they were a Communications Assistant for Carleton University, supporting the Communication Officer for the Office of the Vice-President (Students and Enrolment) by managing editorial calendars for social platforms, creating and hosting weekly video and written content, and creating and curating long-form content for students. In 2018, they were an International Event Coordinator for the Government of Canada, supporting the organization and execution of all events details for a nine-day conference. Additionally, they were a Communications and Event Planning Assistant for The Royal Canadian Geographical Society, assisting the Manager of Communications to support various efforts in the interest of publicizing the Society and its initiatives. In 2017, they were a Talent Programs Assistant for Carleton University, handling work to manage the administrative aspects of a fast-paced recruitment cycle.

Hannah Waye began their education in 2012 at Cole Harbour District High School and graduated in 2015. In 2015, they also obtained a DELF B1 Certificate from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale. Hannah then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies at Carleton University, which they completed in 2020. Following this, they enrolled in the Ottawa Digital Marketing Certificate program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, which they are currently enrolled in.
