Desiree Espitia

Desiree Espitia is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and previously as Principal R&D Engineer at Mozarc Medical since April 2023, Desiree has a strong background in product development, design controls, and risk management. Prior roles include significant positions at Medtronic from December 2015 to April 2023, where responsibilities encompassed various aspects of R&D engineering and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Additional experience includes quality engineering at Zimmer Biomet Spine, a senior design project with Stryker Orthopaedics during academic studies, and co-op positions at Ethicon and BD, focusing on new product development and engineering research. Desiree holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
