Prior to their software engineering education, Mohammed was employed at LA Fitness in different capacities. Mohammed initially worked as a Marketing Director from August 2017 to April 2019, where they handled marketing, business development, and member acquisition functions. Later, they advanced to the role of Assistant Manager from May 2019 to October 2019, leading and supervising a team of 15 employees. Mohammed was responsible for resolving customers' issues through various channels.

Mohammed's earliest work experience dates back to their time at Jayhawk Motorsports SAE, where they worked as a Design Engineer from September 2014 to May 2015. In this role, they designed and engineered the oiling system for a high-performance formula car using SolidWorks. Mohammed also conducted measurements of the thermal properties of the oiling pan and carried out machining and lathing operations.

During their time at Honeywell from September 2013 to May 2014, Mohammed served as a Research Assistant. Mohammed worked with a team of four students to design and 3D print a device that recognized and calculated miniature objects in the manufacturing process of electrical devices at Honeywell. The device was created using SolidWorks and had a circular bowl with a cone-like end and a ramp.

Mohammed Mustafa's education history includes pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kansas - School of Engineering from 2012 to 2016.
