Chandra Kumar Basavaraju

Chandra Kumar Basavaraju has a diverse work experience in the field of Data Science and Software Engineering. Chandra Kumar is currently working as a Data Scientist at MPOWER Financing since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BlueRose Technologies as a Data Scientist from January 2021 to December 2021.

Chandra also worked at Truckstop.com as a Data Scientist from February 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they were involved in building and deploying machine learning models for various purposes, such as rate prediction, outlier detection, and load recommendation. Chandra Kumar actively contributed to all phases of data science projects, including data extraction, cleaning, statistical modeling, algorithm development, and data visualization.

Before joining Truckstop.com, Chandra gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Chandra Kumar assisted Professor Shlomo Argamon in lecturing, grading, and mentoring students for the course "Artificial Intelligence: Planning and Control" from August 2018 to December 2018.

Prior to their teaching experience, Chandra worked as a Data Analyst at Caterpillar Inc. from June 2017 to May 2018. In this role, they created visually impactful dashboards in Tableau, conducted statistical and predictive analyses on sales data, and used sentiment classification on customer feedback to drive product improvement.

Chandra's earlier work experience includes working at Toshiba Embeeded Software India Pvt Ltd. as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed security features for Multi-Functional Peripherals (MFP) from April 2013 to August 2016. Chandra Kumar also worked at Wipro as a Trainee Engineer, receiving extensive training in core Java and JDBC tools from July 2012 to March 2013.

Chandra Kumar Basavaraju holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science at PES Institute of Technology(Atnms) from 2008 to 2012. Their secondary education includes 10th and 12th standard from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Hondarabalu, Chamarajanagara, where they studied Science from 2000 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in Advanced SQL for Data Scientists and Statistics Foundations: 1 from LinkedIn in April 2020.
