Alex Wörz

Alex Wörz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alex is currently the CEO of Mr D Food, a role they assumed in July 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Operations for Mr D Food from May 2015 to June 2021. Before joining Mr D Food, Alex was the General Manager for BioFire South Africa from May 2011 to May 2015. Alex also worked at Lufthansa as a Project Manager from July 2007 to April 2011. Earlier in their career, they held various positions at Global Load Control, including Project Manager, Process Analyst, Supervisor, and Assistant Manager from July 2004 to July 2007.

Alex Wörz completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Cape Town in 2013. In 2014, they participated in an MBA Exchange Programme at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, focusing on Marketing (Technology & Customer Analytics) and Venture Capital & Private Equity. Prior to this, they obtained a BCom degree in Economics & Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2001 to 2004. Alex also holds a Dangerous Goods Qualification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which they obtained in 2004. Alex completed their high school education at Parel Vallei High School from 1998 to 2000.
