Jonathan Muir has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jonathan began their career in 1992 as an Accountant/General Manager at CA Company Clothing. Jonathan then ventured into entrepreneurship and co-founded LJ Sportswear in 1995, where they served as the General Manager and Partner. After that, they worked as a Software Development Manager at Electric Genetics, managing the development of a software application for genetic research.

In 2001, Muir joined Visual Information Systems as a Product Manager. Jonathan then transitioned to MIH (Naspers) in 2005, where they worked as a Project Manager for internet applications in South Africa and Thailand. During this time, they also played a key role in establishing the search engine for 24.com (South Africa).

Muir's next role was as a Product Manager at 24.com, where they were responsible for driving the vision, design, and technical aspects of the search24 product. Jonathan then moved to MIH Internet Africa (Naspers) - Mocality.com, where they served as the Head of Data and later as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technical strategy and infrastructure.

In 2013, Muir joined Spree.co.za as the CIO, overseeing the technical aspects and development of the fashion ecommerce site. Jonathan continued their career at Media24 eCommerce (Naspers), serving as the CIO Ecommerce for Spree.co.za, On The Dot, and Picup.co.za, where they oversaw the technical aspects of multiple ecommerce businesses.

Most recently, Jonathan Muir worked at Mr D Food as the CTO, focusing on scaling the infrastructure, platform, apps, and engineering team to meet the demands of a rapidly growing food delivery service.

Throughout their career, Muir demonstrated a strong technical and managerial expertise in the ecommerce, technology, and apparel industries.

Jonathan Muir completed the Naspers Harvard Program in E-Commerce Strategy at the Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2011. Prior to that, they pursued their B.Com degree at the University of Cape Town from 1984 to 1987, majoring in Accounting, Information Systems, and Statistics.
