Sven Willmann

Sven Willmann has a diverse and extensive work experience, starting with their current role as Engineering Director at Mr D Food, where they are responsible for building and maintaining the technical aspect of South Africa's leading online food delivery platform. Sven leads projects, maintains engineering processes, and ensures the scale, reliability, efficiency, and security of the systems. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager at Mr D Food, where they built software services using the latest technologies. Sven has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at takealot.com and CSG International. Additionally, they have experience as a Technical Director and business consultant at Web Supply Chain, where they developed web-based collaboration platforms. Sven has also held roles in project management, consulting, and software development at metafinanz Informationssysteme GmbH (Allianz Group), OPITZ CONSULTING GmbH, and Logo Print. Sven's early career included freelance work and a student apprentice role at Alusuisse Technologie Zentrum.

Sven Willmann studied Computer Science at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended the Konstanz University of Applied Science (FHK) in Germany, where they also studied Computer Science from 1994 to 1999. Between 1988 and 1992, they pursued a degree in Industrieelektroniker/in Fachrichtung Gerätetechnik at Gewerbeschule Villingen-Schwenningen.
