Liziwe Masoga

Liziwe Masoga is the current divisional head of people at Mr Price Group. Before that, they were the senior vice president and chief HR officer at Massmart from July 2020 to January 2022. Prior to their time at Massmart, Liziwe took a sabbatical from March 2020 to July 2020. Before their sabbatical, Liziwe was with Old Mutual Insure from January 2015 to March 2020 where they were the executive people, brand & customer experience. At Old Mutual Insure, Liziwe was responsible for crafting people, brand & customer experience strategies that maximised value for the shareholder, customers & staff. Liziwe was also part of the Exco team that led the business turnaround and drove Financial Services Charter implementation.

Liziwe Masoga has a background in business and psychology. Liziwe began their career with a Discovery Executive Development Programme at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford. Liziwe then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Consulting Psychology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Finally, they completed a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology from the same school.

They are on a team with Andrew Smith - Joint Managing Director, Yuppiechef, Steve Ellis - Alternate Executive Director, and Arn de Haas - Managing Director, mr price sport. Their manager is Mark Blair, CEO.
