Nick Hahlbeck

Nick Hahlbeck is a Fishery Assessment Analyst at MRAG Americas, Inc., specializing in the evaluation of fisheries against sustainability standards, with a focus on population dynamics and fishing pressure models. Previously, Nick served as a Graduate Researcher at Oregon State University, coordinating field studies and analyses related to climate change and fisheries, and also as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, imparting research skills in conservation. Experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher with NOAA, contributing to ecosystem-based fishery management, and extensive research on harmful algae blooms at the University of Miami. Nick holds a PhD in Fisheries Science from Oregon State University and a BS in Biology and Marine Science from the University of Miami.
