Annie R. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Volunteer and Resource Coordinator at Shalom Community Center, Inc. In 2006, they served as the DC Kids Cafe Coordinator at Capital Area Food Bank. Annie then took on the role of Acting Educational Programs Director at Lost Valley Educational Center from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Assistant Teacher at Mainspring Schools.

In addition to their degrees, Annie also obtained the certification of Certified Nonprofit Professional from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in December 2002. Annie further acquired the license of a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners in August 2015.
