Nezia Munezero Kubwayo

Nezia Munezero Kubwayo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2010, they served as the Founding Executive Director of Burundi Fund for Hope and Restoration, Inc. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Executive Director of Night of Peace Family Shelter, Inc. They then worked as the Content Manager for United Nations OCHA from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they took on the roles of Public & Community Relations Officer at Ethiopian Community Development Council, Inc., and Contributing Writer at USAHello, which they held until 2020. They also worked as the Director of Philanthropy at Shepherd's Clinic from 2019 to 2021. In 2020, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Nova Southeastern University and as a Company News Writer at Pollack Peacebuilding Systems until 2021. Currently, in 2021, they hold the position of Director of Operations at mRelief.

Nezia Munezero Kubwayo's education history includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from NSU Halmos College of Arts and Sciences, with a projected completion date in 2024. Prior to that, Nezia obtained a Master's Degree in International Human Rights Law from The American University in Cairo. Nezia also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and International Languages and Cultures (French) from St. Mary's College of Maryland. In addition to these degrees, Nezia has a certification in "Building a Better Response" from the Humanitarian Academy at Harvard University.
