Sumit Ranjan

Sumit Ranjan has a diverse work background with experience in various roles and industries.

Sumit is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at MResult since March 2021, where they lead multiple natural language processing projects in the healthcare domain.

In 2020, Sumit founded Neural Network Guru, a community-based data science portal aimed at sharing learning resources for data science enthusiasts.

Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at VMware from March 2019 to March 2021, and as a Data Scientist at Affine Analytics from June 2018 to March 2019.

Sumit also has experience as a Software Consultant at KPIT from March 2017 to June 2018, and as a Software Consultant at Lam Research from July 2014 to December 2016.

Additionally, they authored a book titled "Applied Deep Learning and Computer Vision for Self-Driving Cars" for Packt, which explores practical knowledge and techniques in this field using Python libraries like Tensorflow and Keras.

Sumit Ranjan has a diverse education history in the field of technology and data science. In 2012, they obtained a B.TECH degree in Electronic & Telecommunication from Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute.

Since then, they have pursued various certifications and courses to enhance their skills. In 2017, they completed a course on Data Science using R at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.

Furthermore, Sumit has taken several online courses and obtained certifications. In 2018, they completed courses such as Building chatbot in Python, Python Flask Framework Certification, and Microsoft Bot Framework.

In 2019, they pursued Self-Driving Car Engineering from KPIT | Udacity, focusing on computer vision. In the same year, they also completed the Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity.

In 2020, Sumit participated in the MIT Professional Education program on Machine Learning - From Data to Decisions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, they completed an Artificial Intelligence Short Course at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Sumit'seducation journey continued in 2022 with a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Data Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Sumit also undertook a course on Practical Deep Learning for Coders (a UQ collaboration with fast.ai) at The University of Queensland.

Sumit has further extended their knowledge through additional certifications, including MLOPS using AWS Sagemaker from Psitron Technologies Pvt.Ltd. and Google Dialogflow from Udemy.
