Kent Lohman, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington, where they studied from 1973 to 1977. Kent then pursued a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine, completing their studies from 1982 to 1985. Following this, Kent engaged in Postdoctoral Research at Yale University School of Medicine, specializing in Molecular Parasitology, which lasted from 1985 to 1988.
