Richard Winegar is a Distinguished Research Fellow and Chief Scientist for Global Health Surveillance & Diagnostics at MRIGlobal, a position held since July 2011. Prior to this, Richard served as Sr. Science and Technology Manager at SRI International from July 2008 to June 2011 and held various roles at MRIGlobal from July 1999 to July 2008, including Principal Advisor for Science. Richard's earlier experience includes serving as Director of Molecular and Genetic Toxicology at SRI International from 1990 to 1999. Richard obtained a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology, a Ph.D. in Radiation Biology/Radiobiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Radiation Biology at the University of California, San Francisco.
