Yvette A. Girard, MPH, PhD, is a Principal Advisor in Science at MRIGlobal, providing expertise in the design and execution of analytical and clinical studies for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) related to infectious diseases. With prior experience as a Regulatory Affairs Manager and Scientist at Cerus, Yvette coordinated regulatory submissions for the INTERCEPT Blood System and conducted research studies on pathogen inactivation. Academic roles include teaching parasitology at universities and conducting postdoctoral research on vector-borne diseases and Lyme disease spirochetes. Yvette holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from The University of Texas Medical Branch, an MPH in Microbial Disease Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health, and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College.
