Alexandros Giouvanellis is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in maritime security and risk management. Currently serving as the Chief of Security at MSC Cruises since September 2018, Alexandros leads a team dedicated to ensuring the safety of vessels, crew, and passengers through effective risk analysis and crisis management. Prior roles include Armed Security Team Leader positions at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company and Ship Security International Limited, where Alexandros managed security operations in high-risk areas and liaised with various authorities. With a background in maritime operations dating back to service in the Hellenic Navy and a solid foundation in IT and network engineering from higher education, Alexandros combines technical expertise with robust security leadership.
