Afzal Hassen is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in various technical roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Associate Director of Software Engineering at Burgiss since June 2022, Afzal has previously held positions including Principal Software Engineer at Kaha and Senior Manager of Technology Enablement at IQbusiness South Africa. Expertise includes leading technical teams, software design and architecture, cloud-based microservices, and managing software development life cycles. Educational qualifications consist of a National Diploma in Information Technology, Software Development from Nelson Mandela University, earned between 2001 and 2004.
