René Veerman

As Head of Real Assets Product and Client Coverage, René has responsibility for the product management, business and commercial strategy for MSCI Real Assets. He is also a member of MSCI’s Executive Committee. René previously was Head of EMEA Analytics Client and Real Estate Coverage, where he led the Sales and Consultant teams for Public and Private Asset Performance and Risk Analytics.

René has over 25 years of experience, on both the buy and sell sides at using, developing and selling investment decision tools and services across Europe and Asia. Previously René was MSCI’s Head of Analytics Product in APAC and Country Manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Before joining MSCI in 2013, René was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Securities, where he worked for 14 years in various commercial and management roles in Equity Research and Analytics in Europe and Asia. Before that, René was a Strategist at Achmea Asset Management. He started his career at PGGM Investments as a quantitative analyst.

René graduated from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands with a master’s degree in Econometrics and he is a Certified European Financial Analyst.
