Megan McIllwain Elliott has a diverse work experience in the field of reproductive health, international development, and program management. Megan has held leadership roles in various organizations, including MSI Reproductive Choices, Marie Stopes International, Population Services International, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, International Law Institute, and Search for Common Ground.

At MSI Reproductive Choices, Megan served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Marie Stopes International, including Vice President, Director of Strategy and Development, and Director of New Programme Development. In these positions, they were responsible for developing and driving global strategies, managing donor relationships, and overseeing the implementation of programs.

At Population Services International, Megan served as the Director of Programs in Tanzania and Senior Program Manager for East Africa. In these roles, they provided technical oversight, managed donor-funded health programs, and led teams in implementing projects focused on HIV prevention, family planning, malaria prevention, and childhood illness management.

Megan also worked at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, where they held the role of Chief of Party for Strengthening TB/HIV Collaboration in Uganda and HIV/TB Program Officer. In this capacity, they designed and implemented projects, established country offices, and coordinated TB/HIV programming in multiple countries.

Megan began their career at Population Services International as a Special Projects Manager in Uganda, where they secured funding, managed budgets, and launched programs focused on HIV care and treatment and safe drinking water. Additionally, Megan worked at the International Law Institute and Search for Common Ground as a Special Projects Manager and Graduate Fellow, respectively.

Throughout their career, Megan has demonstrated expertise in program management, strategic planning, donor relations, and technical implementation. Megan has a track record of securing significant funding and leading successful initiatives in the field of global health and development.

Megan McIllwain Elliott earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Mary Washington, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies. In the year 2002, Megan began their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International/Global Studies at the University of Denver, and completed it in 2003.
