Jon Helmin

Jon Helmin, PHR, SHRM CP, GPHR, serves as the Vice President and Employee Relations Program Manager at M&T Bank since March 2009, overseeing HR policy development and employee relations support for multiple international offices. In addition, Jon holds a position on the Board of Directors for the NYS Society for Human Resource Management as the Certification Director, advocating for HR certification across the profession. Previous experience includes serving as AVP-Human Resources at HSBC Bank USA, where responsibilities encompassed support for 1,300 employees, and a leadership role as Past President of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association. Jon's earlier career includes managing HR functions at the Olmsted Center for the Visually Impaired and leading a recruiting firm. Academic credentials include a BA in Sociology from the University at Buffalo.
