Dr. Matthias Walker

Dr. Matthias Walker has a diverse work experience. Dr. Matthias started their career as an intern at Amtsgericht Tiergarten in 2010 and later interned at Rechtsanwalt und Notar Dirk Siegfried and Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung und Bundesärztekammer in 2011. Dr. Matthias then worked as a lecturer at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2014 and BAU International Berlin - University of Applied Sciences from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, they joined Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as a PhD student and worked there until 2021. During their time at Brehm & v. Moers, they served as an Attorney at Law, Data Protection Officer, and Research Associate from 2016 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at ESL Gaming as Head of Data Protection MTG Group and Data Protection Manager/Legal Counsel. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Data Protection at Modern Times Group MTG AB since 2022.

Dr. Matthias Walker attended Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained their first juristisches Staatsexamen in Rechtswissenschaften. Following that, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued further education at Kammergericht Berlin, earning their 2. juristisches Staatsexamen in Rechtsreferendariat.
