Philipp Schaad

Philipp Schaad’s professional career started at the Cantonal Hospital in Olten, where he worked as a nurse. While working in hospitals, he became interested in IT topics. This curiosity led to his decision to change career paths and start his medical informatics studies at the Berne University of Applied Sciences. With his new know-how, Schaad started working as a consultant for clinical information systems – advising hospitals and clinics. While working with these institutions, he came in contact with data-related topics in the health sector and he decided to pursue a master’s degree in data science at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. At MTIP, Philipp Schaad helps to mature the healthcare system regarding data readiness.
