Suren Sooklal

Suren Sooklal possesses extensive experience in risk management and auditing across various sectors. Currently, Suren serves as a Member of the Disciplinary Committee at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors since April 2016. In addition, Suren has held the position of Group Chief Business Risk Officer at MTN since February 2015, overseeing areas such as risk management, internal audit, group insurance, and cyber security, while also acting as a director and audit committee member for several MTN operating companies globally. Suren has been a Partner at PwC South Africa from April 2002 and a Partner/Director at PwC since 2002, providing expertise in auditing and business consultancy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce degree and postgraduate diplomas in Accounting and Tax Law from the University of Durban Westville, along with Matric from Centenary High Durban.
