Derek Choi

Derek Choi is an experienced engineer currently serving as an Operations System Assurance Engineer at MTR Corporation Limited since August 2023. Prior to this role, Derek worked as a Consultant in System Assurance at Atkins from July 2020 to August 2023 and as a Research - Finite Element Engineer at KAMYUEN Group from October 2019 to July 2020, where Derek led modelling and simulation projects and developed a Python program for manufacturing processes. Derek’s earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Nottingham, a Summer Intern role at Knorr-Bremse, and a Summer Intern position at Dah Sing Bank. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
