Kevin Daffey

Kevin Daffey has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the engineering and marine industry. Kevin is currently serving as the Director at Rolls-Royce Solutions UK. Prior to that, they held a position as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) and also served as the President of IMarEST. Kevin has also worked as the Vice President of Application Engineering and Marine Automation at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG. Additionally, Kevin Daffey has held senior roles at Rolls-Royce, including Director of Ship Intelligence and Engineering & Technology, Chief Technology Officer Electrical Systems, and Global Head of Electrical Power and Control Systems. Kevin has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Magnetic Systems Technology Limited. Earlier in their career, they held key positions at DE&S Abbeywood, Rolls-Royce Marine Electrical Systems, Alstom Power Conversion, and Alstom Drives and Controls. Kevin Daffey's expertise lies in electrical engineering, power systems, marine automation, and control systems.

Kevin Daffey, FREng, FIMarEST pursued their education in a chronological manner. Kevin began their academic journey by attending Ashlawn School from 1981 to 1987. During this time, they completed their A Level and O Level education. Following this, Kevin went on to join the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (BEng).
