Mariana Nakashima

Mariana Nakashima currently serves as a Senior Administrative Aide and Special Event Coordinator at Michigan Technological University since April 2023. Prior to this role, Mariana worked as an Administrative Assistant at Finlandia University from August 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included scheduling departmental meetings and managing faculty check-in/out processes. Mariana has a background in education as an Elementary Art and Spanish Instructor at Chassell Township Schools and as a Drawing Instructor at Calumet Art Center. Additionally, Mariana has engineering experience with over five years as a Product Engineer at Grupo Antolin North America and a co-op experience in the Research and Development and Production Engineering Departments at Delta U.S.A. Corporation. Mariana holds a Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Restoration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Toledo.
