Ilkka Ahtiainen

Ilkka Ahtiainen has extensive experience in the media industry. Ilkka started their career at Sanoma News Oy in 2001 as a Staff Writer focused on domestic politics. Ilkka then became a Foreign Correspondent and later the Sunday Editor. In 2012, they joined MTV Oy as a News Editor and quickly progressed to become the Managing Editor. Most recently, they served as the Editor in Chief at MTV Oy. In 2018, they also worked at Mediahub Helsinki Oy as a News Executive, responsible for television news and current affairs production. Ahtiainen has demonstrated a strong expertise in news production and political affairs, and has established himself as a frequent commentator both on TV and online.

Ilkka Ahtiainen completed their education in the field of Mass Communication/Media Studies at the University of Tampere from 1995 to 2001, earning a degree of Yhteiskuntatieteiden maisteri.
