Tommi Tynys

Tommi Tynys has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tommi started their career in 1988 as a Show Technician at Eastway, where they gained experience in sound and lighting systems operation and design. Tommi then worked at Studiotec Oy as a Software Systems Support from 1996 to 1999. Tommi then joined YLE in 1999, where they worked as a System Administrator and later as a Team Leader until 2002. Tommi then moved to Tieto Broadcasting IT and served as a Team Leader and Project Manager from 2003 to 2009. After that, they worked at Tieto as a Senior Project Manager from 2009 to 2013. Tommi's most recent role was at MTV Oy, where they worked as an IT Business Manager from 2013 to 2019 before transitioned to the position of Head of Broadcasting Technology, a role which they still hold.

Tommi Tynys has a varied education history with a focus on information technology and project management. In 1989, they began their studies at Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Information Technology in 1993. Tommi later pursued further studies in the same field at the same institute in 1996, completing specialization studies in Information Technology in 1997.

In 2009, Tommi enrolled at Project Institute Finland, where they obtained a degree in IPMA C-level Project Management in 2010. Additionally, they obtained the IPMA C-level certification from the Project Management Association Finland in January 2010.

To supplement their education, Tommi also acquired additional technical certifications. In January 2005, they became a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE 2003) through Microsoft. In March 2011, they obtained the ITIL-foundation v3 certification from itSMF.

In 2017, Tommi pursued further studies in the field of Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, completing a Digitekijä FastTrack program.
