Vikash Boolell is an accomplished legal and compliance professional with extensive experience across various sectors, currently serving as Group Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and MLRO at MUA Mauritius & East Africa since January 2022. In this role, Vikash leads Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions across six jurisdictions and is recognized by the Financial Services Commission. Prior to this, Vikash held senior legal management positions at Nestlé from 2010 to 2021, driving legal strategy and compliance across 23 countries and achieving significant cost savings and compliance enhancements. Vikash's earlier roles include Senior Legal Adviser at Temple Group and Legal Manager at BCP Bank, where skills in legal advising, compliance monitoring, and contract management were honed. Education credentials include a Master of Laws from The London School of Economics and a Maitrise en Droit des Affaires from the University of Strasbourg.
