Naweed Sharif

Naweed Sharif has held a variety of roles in the finance and banking industry since 1988. Naweed began their career as a Director/Team Leader at American Express Bank Ltd., where they managed a Corporate/Investment Banking team and achieved an NFR of US$ 5 million. Naweed then moved to Mashreqbank in 1994, where they were Vice President & Branch Manager and responsible for developing and implementing North Pakistan's corporate & retail business plan. In 1996, they joined Deutsche Bank AG as a Director, where they were primarily involved in identifying and executing Global Transaction Banking products under Corporate Banking Coverage. In 2010, they became Head of Pakistan Desk, Global South Asia, Private Wealth Management at Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore. In 2017, they started Naweed Sharif Consulting as Principal Consultant and also worked as a Consultant at IFC - International Finance Corporation. In 2019, they joined Muawin as Executive Director. Most recently, they have become Founder and CEO of Smart Finance Ltd. in 2022.

Naweed Sharif received an MBA in Finance from Lahore University of Management Sciences between 1986 and 1988.
