Hemad Yasaei

Hemad Yasaei is a highly experienced professional in the field of molecular genomics and cancer genetics. Currently serving as the Head of the Molecular Genomics Department at Mubadala Health since March 2023, Hemad previously held a significant role as a Specialist and Head of the Genomics Unit at Dubai Health Authority from October 2016 to March 2023, focusing on implementing NGS-based diagnostic services, including whole exome sequencing and various cancer screenings. Hemad's academic foundation includes a BSc in Medical Genetics and a PhD in Cancer Genetics from Brunel University London, complemented by research positions such as Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol and multiple post-doctoral roles at Brunel University. Contributions to research involved developing transformative assays for carcinogen screening, emphasizing Hemad's expertise in both practical and theoretical aspects of genetics and genomics.
