Sibila Diaz-Plaja

Sibila Diaz-Plaja currently serves as the Director of Production & Development at MUBI, a role held since June 2021, following a position as Development Manager. Prior to MUBI, Diaz-Plaja worked at Focus Features as a Creative Executive, overseeing projects such as DOWNTON ABBEY: THE FILM and EMMA, and at Universal Pictures as a Creative Coordinator, managing local language projects and liaising with key producers for productions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux. Additional experience includes work at STUDIOCANAL UK, Optimum Releasing, and the Barbican Centre, involving research, coordination, and production support. Diaz-Plaja holds an MA in Film Studies from University College London and a BA in English Literature from Goldsmiths, University of London.
