Matthew Markland has over 18 years of experience in visual merchandising and store design. Matthew most recently worked as the Director of Store Design at Mud Bay starting in 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Visual Merchandising and Store Design at Sur La Table for six years, where they led the re-branding efforts and developed new store designs. Before that, they worked as a Visual Manager at Bloomingdales and as a Senior Visual Manager at DFS, LVMH, where they directed creative strategies for North America locations. Early in their career, they were the Director of Creative Visual at Macy's, overseeing a division responsible for implementing creative strategies.
Matthew Markland attended the University of California, Riverside from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
