Derek Leong

Derek Leong has over 20 years of experience in human resources, with their most recent role as the Regional Human Resource Director for APAC at Multi-Wing Group starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Human Resource Manager for Asia at Power Integrations from 2015 to 2023. From 2012 to 2014, Derek was a Human Resource Manager at Hitachi Asia, where they supported the global HR organization and led talent management efforts. In 2012, they briefly held a role as a Human Resource Manager at Sony Electronics Asia Pacific. Before that, Derek worked as a Human Resource Manager at Bodycote from 2008 to 2011 and as an HR Manager at Associated Spring from 2002 to 2008.

Derek Leong's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, completed from 2022 to 2023. Derek also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business & Management Studies with a specialization in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Bradford, earned from 1995 to 1998.

In addition to their degrees, Derek Leong has obtained additional certifications, including a Certified Human Resources Manager qualification from the International Academy of Business and Financial Management in 2016. Derek also holds a Diploma in Personnel Management from the National Productivity Board - IPT.
