S. Gokhun TANYER has extensive work experience in the field of sensors engineering, signal processing, and system development. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Assistant Director, Project Manager, and Systems Engineer at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, where they managed projects, developed new business opportunities, and represented the organization in NATO working groups. In 2013, they became a Tenured Professor in Electrical Engineering at Baskent University, teaching courses on electromagnetic wave theory and signal processing. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Research Associate at the University of Victoria, focusing on sparse array signal processing for radar systems and developing solutions for 3D-audio applications. Currently, they are Head of the Sensors Engineering Technology Unit at MulticoreWare Inc, where they conduct research, innovation, and prototyping of sensor algorithms for radar and other technologies.

S. Gokhun Tanyer completed their education in chronological order. S. Gokhun earned a Ph.D. in E.E. (Electrical Engineering) specializing in High Frequency Electromagnetic Scattering from Washington State University from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in E.E. (Electrical Engineering) from Bilkent University between 1988 and 1990. Furthermore, they completed their Bachelor's degree in E.E. (Electrical Engineering) focusing on Electromagnetic Wave Theory from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) from 1984 to 1988.

In addition to their formal education, there is also an additional certification mentioned, IELTS, from the British Council. However, the obtained month and year for this certification are not provided.
