Mario Merino

Mario Merino has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mario is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at MultiMoney since October 2022.

Before that, Mario was the Managing Partner at Borderline Ventures, a web3 investment firm, starting from July 2021. In this role, they focused on utilizing cryptocurrencies to democratize access to wealth and improve quality of life.

Prior to Borderline Ventures, Mario held multiple roles at Gorilla Logic. Mario started as the Country Manager and Managing Director for Costa Rica in April 2014, and later became the Managing Director for Nearshore in January 2019. In February 2020, they were promoted to Vice President of Delivery, where they were responsible for delivering exceptional value to clients in the United States, Costa Rica, and Colombia. Mario played a crucial role in establishing Gorilla Logic as a premier partner for custom software development.

Mario's earlier experience includes working as a Client Manager at Avantica Technologies from June 2010 to June 2011. During this time, they utilized their intuition and prior experience in architecture, application development, deployment, and project management to develop solutions for clients.

Mario started their career as the Principal of Proximita in October 2003. Mario successfully grew the company from a spare bedroom operation to a profitable design, development, and implementation firm. Mario's exceptional problem-solving skills enabled him to deliver complex projects within limited resources and budgets.

Mario Merino attended Universidad Cenfotec from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Software Engineering. Before that, from 1995 to 2000, they attended Boston University, majoring in Economics. In 1995, for a brief period, Mario also studied Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
