The opportunity

Are you ready to make an impact in a hyper-growth, fast-paced organisation? We're on the lookout for a dynamic Revenue Accounting Manager to drive our Worldwide Revenue Accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Global Revenue Recognition: Manage and enforce our revenue recognition policy worldwide, ensuring compliance and consistency at a global level.
  • Process Integrity: Establish and maintain processes to adhere to our revenue recognition standards.

Specifically, you will:

  • Review and summarize customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Work on revenue team projects and process improvements, especially for our US commercial business
  • Key contributor in the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and the completeness of financial statements
  • Review month end balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries and contribute to the financial reporting process
  • Works closely and help manage complex transactions with the billing and deal desk teams and other stakeholders in the business
  • Work closely with GFC, legal, sales and other stakeholders on structuring of contracts and non standard deal approvals
  • Identify and develop best practices and process improvements
  • Liaises with External auditors, present significant item updates, supporting documentation for the year-end audits in terms of revenue recognition
  • Work towards becoming a subject matter expert on revenue for both IFRS 15 and ASC 606
  • Review AR operational matters to ensure alignment with financial reporting processes
  • Ensure documentation for revenue recognition policies globally are enhanced and intact

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant with Big 4 Audit or similar experience
  • Deep and clear understanding of various jurisdictions’ revenue recognition standards, from UK FRS, IFRS to ASC 606
  • Ability to work on multiple entities with multi-currencies
  • Highly organised, attention to details, good time-management skills as well as proactive in stakeholder management with business partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Flexible to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and processes and with commission and billing systems
  • Experience in a revenue role within the business
  • Experience working with late stage start-ups and/or public companies
